Unterföhring, 10.08.2021. SevenAccelerator has taken a stake in Tiger Media International GmbH with a media investment amounting to a low, single-digit million sum. Over the course of a financing round with renowned investors such as Sony Music Entertainment Germany, the Accelerator has invested in the up-and-coming German start-up which, with the TIGERBOX®, has established a leading streaming audio system in the children’s entertainment sector. As part of SevenVentures, SevenAccelerator falls under the Commerce & Ventures segment within ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE.
With this move SevenAccelerator highlights its expertise in sustainably developing consumer-oriented start-ups through individually tailored investments in the form of media services and growing their brand awareness via ProSiebenSat.1's high-reach TV and digital channels. Here the investment unit places particular emphasis on partnership-based support for start-ups and close cooperation with their management teams. With the SevenAccelerator as catalyst, ProSiebenSat.1 Group can identify economic trends at an early stage and actively develop its portfolio throughout the Group. At the same time, the digital group becomes an essential pillar in Tiger Media's marketing plan thanks to its expertise in addressing relevant target groups. As part of the media convertible note that SevenAccelerator uses to build its portfolio, Tiger Media's 360° advertising campaign launched in November 2020.

In the future around 10,000 audio plays, audio books and children's songs will be available via the online service - suitable for children because there is no advertising, contract commitments or use of smartphones involved. alpha trading solutions GmbH supports the company with its many years of experience in logistics, fulfilment, sales and e-commerce in distributing the products via an extensive network of retailers and online platforms. On the scratch-proof and fail-safe TIGERCARDS®, which are inserted in physical form into the digital loudspeaker with touch screen, children of all ages, from toddler age to late childhood, can touch on their own favourite stories. In doing so the start-up is building its own content universe that invites people to collect. Besides being easy to use, the audio system features control functions for parents so that they can regulate their children's media consumption by limiting listening times.
